Multistore reporting for Shopify

Multistore reporting lets Shopify merchants who have Better Reports installed on multiple stores consolidate data and reporting within a single parent store.

In this article:

What is multistore reporting

Multistore reporting allows you to access and report on data from multiple Shopify stores within Better Reports. One store is set as the parent store, where data from connected child stores can be viewed and included in reports.

You can report on each store individually or combine data across stores on the parent store. You can continue to access Better Reports on each child store individually.

How to enable multistore reporting

To enable multistore reporting, contact our support team and provide the myshopify.com URLs for each store you want to connect.

You’ll also need to confirm:

  • Which store should be set as the parent store
  • How child store data should be included in reports (applies to all reports):
    1. Child store data excluded by default

Reports include only parent store data. To include child store data, add a filter on the MyShopify Domain field.

    2. Child store data included by default

Reports include data from the parent store and all child stores. To limit results to specific stores, add a filter on the MyShopify Domain field.

Pricing for multistore reporting

Better Reports is billed per Shopify store due to Shopify’s store-level permissions and billing system. Charges apply separately for each store where the app is installed.

Multistore discounts may be available depending on order volume and the plan used by each store. Contact our support team to review your stores and discuss available pricing options.

How to create multistore reports

Better Reports includes a Shop table that contains information about each connected store. You can add fields from this table to your report to break results down by store, such as grouping sales or orders by store Name.

⚠️ Multistore reporting must be enabled for your store before you can create multistore reports.

Select fields from the Shop table when creating multistore reports
  1. Add a filter on the MyShopify Domain field on the Shop table.
  2. Select the stores you want to include in the report:
    • If child store data is included by default, selecting stores will limit the report to those stores.
    • If child store data is excluded by default, selecting stores will add their data to the report.

đź’ˇ If child store data is excluded by default and you want to include data from all connected stores, add a filter where MyShopify Domain is not unknown.
